Contributing to Ekologos Wiki

Ekologos Wiki welcomes contributions that help document ecological knowledge, improve existing information and connect research and other materials across places, projects and themes.

Contributions are reviewed by the editorial team before publication. Submitting material does not mean that it will automatically appear on the Wiki.

Preparing Your Contribution

When preparing a contribution, it is helpful to provide:

  • Your name and contact email.
  • A title or short description of your contribution.
  • Relevant background, including the place, project or activity involved.
  • Information about the source of the material and who produced it.
  • Relevant permissions, attribution or restrictions on sharing the material.

You do not need to prepare a finished Wiki article. The editorial team can review your proposal and discuss any additional information that may be needed.

How Editorial Review Works

1

Initial review
The editorial team considers whether the proposed material is relevant to Ekologos Wiki.

2

Information and permissions
Sources, attribution, permissions and any restrictions on sharing the material are considered. The team may request clarification or further information.

3

Editorial decision
Suitable material may be added to an existing record or developed into a new Wiki page following the necessary review.

Important: Contributions are not automatically published. Some material may require further discussion, community review or restricted access.
