Project status
For a current project:
|projectstatus=Ongoing |outcomesheading=Expected Outcomes
For a finished project:
|projectstatus=Completed |outcomesheading=Outcomes
Editorial status
Use only the agreed editorial-status terms:
PUBLIC — REVIEWED PUBLIC — DRAFT COMMUNITY REVIEW PENDING METADATA ONLY RESTRICTED
Do not confuse editorial status with project status.
A project can therefore be:
|projectstatus=Completed |editorialstatus=PUBLIC — DRAFT
Controlled themes
Use the agreed Ekologos themes:
Climate & Environmental Change Food, Farming & Cultivation Water, Rivers, Ice & Oceans Forests, Land & Biodiversity Plants, Healing & Health Animals & Multispecies Relations Memory, Storytelling & Cosmology Environmental Justice & Political Ecology Methods, Media & Environmental Pedagogy
Do not create a new main theme simply because a project contains another keyword. More specific concepts may remain in the text or be handled as tags/subcategories later.
Theme example
|themes= * Climate & Environmental Change * Food, Farming & Cultivation * Memory, Storytelling & Cosmology
Place example
Where the relevant Place page already exists, link it:
|places=Nagaland & Indo–Myanmar Highlands |relatedplaces= * Nagaland & Indo–Myanmar Highlands * Noklak
Objectives example
|objectives= * Document local environmental knowledge and practice. * Examine relationships between environmental change and everyday livelihoods. * Share project findings through community and public-facing outputs.
Methodology example
|methodology= The project uses ethnographic fieldwork, participant observation, semi-structured interviews and community discussions.
Photo example
|photo1= |photo1caption=Fieldwork in Village Name, 2026. |photo1credit=Photo: Photographer Name
Only use images where relevance, rights and consent are clear.
Knowledge Records example
|knowledgerecords= * Climate Change Perceptions in Noklak * Example Knowledge Record
Publications example
|publications= * Example Publication * Author, A. (2026). Example publication title.
Films and Media example
|filmsmedia= * Healing Hands * Example Film
Related records example
|related= * Related Knowledge Record * Related Event * Related Publication
Sources and inline citations
Factual claims should be supported close to the claim when a citation is needed.
Example:
|overview= The project began in 2024.
The template contains a references list near the bottom of the page.
The sources field can also list major project documents or stable links:
|sources= * Project proposal * Institutional project page * Related scholarly publication * DOI or stable scholarly link
Image rights
Do not assume that all Wiki images have the same licence.
Example:
|imagerights= Photographs used with permission of the photographer. Community review required before reuse outside the project.
Important editorial rules
Do not invent information merely to fill a field.
If reliable information is not yet available, omit the parameter or mark the information as:
To be confirmed
Internal placeholder links should only be created where the future record is definitely part of the planned Wiki corpus.
For new substantive pages, PUBLIC — DRAFT is normally preferable to implying that editorial review is already complete.
