ABOUT

About Ekologos Wiki

A curated knowledge platform connecting ecological knowledge, people and places.

Ekologos Wiki

Ekologos Wiki is a curated knowledge platform for sharing ecological knowledge across cultures, communities and landscapes. It brings together research, field documentation, local and Indigenous ecological knowledge, films, publications, teaching materials and records from projects connected with Ekologos.

The Wider Ekologos Project

The Wiki is part of the wider Ekologos project, but the two are not the same. Ekologos is an international collaboration concerned with environmental change, ecological knowledge, education and dialogue across different regions and knowledge traditions. The project brings ecological sciences into conversation with the humanities and with knowledge grounded in Indigenous and local communities.

The Ekologos Wiki is one of the project's knowledge-sharing platforms. The wider Ekologos initiative also includes research and teaching collaborations, student and faculty exchanges, summer and winter schools, publications and other forms of public engagement. The UiT project describes the Wiki as one of its open and inclusive platforms for sharing knowledge.
